Hello, My name is Mark Leivers and I am a guitar teacher based here in Derby tutoring students of all ages.
I teach beginners to advanced students, helping students learn through the music that inspires them no matter what genre or style.
I cover both electric and acoustic guitar, priding myself on my friendly and engaging lessons individually tailored to each of my students.
My lessons are always enjoyable and built around the styles of music that you enjoy in your spare time.

Learning guitar is an activity that should be fun, not frustrating and dull. Therefore, my lessons are all about playing the music that inspired you to pick up the guitar in the first place. I am an expert at tutoring beginner students, so can help you play the guitar even if you have never touched one in your life before.
I have many years teaching experience and would be more than happy to help anyone on their learning journey.

I am a professional guitar teacher offering high quality tuition to students in the Derby area. Our lessons together will be built around the genres and the styles that you enjoy and love. My lessons are currently priced at £16 per half hour and £26 per hour. Please email to discuss what option would be best for you.
I teach the majority of my lessons from the Creative Central studio located on New Street, Derby, DE1 2LX. It is a great place to learn to play the guitar, boasting all the equipment you will need for your guitar lessons.
I teach children and adults of all ages. I really feel that music and learning guitar should be for everyone.
You are more than welcome to start our guitar lessons before buying a guitar, however, if you are serious about playing the guitar then purchasing a guitar within the first 2 months of lessons is advisable. I am more than happy to point you in the right direction for some high quality but good budget guitars (electrics: £100 - £130, acoustics: £75 - £100).
